I am involved in all aspects of engineering, project management, mentoring and staff development. Within the Airports Group, the projects vary from green field proposals to small and large scale airport development projects. My role in the airports group is internal business development and to improve the quality of production documents for construction. I developed a program of consistent group wide workflow methodology through Quick Reference documents while providing a wide range of design from high level planning to detailed tender documents. Mentoring junior technologist and engineers on good construction practices and QA/QC reviews lead to a recent appointment to the Quality Council for Tetra Tech Canada Transportation Practice. Demonstrating to young engineers how powerful a simple process flow diagram can be prior to detailed design is one of the rewarding highlights of my tenure with Tetra Tech.

As an experienced 3D design draftsman, I was responsible for detailed design, planning and supervision, schedule of quantities, quality review and development of contract documents. My design skills are as diverse as the clientele that I have teamed with. I am an accomplished designer of road geometry, mine haul roads, heavy earthworks, water management structures and reclamation planning. I have been integral to generating CADD standards and the implementation of industry standard design software. Fulfilling requests to provided training, practical construction methods and best practice documentation in a common thread in my career. The diverse clientele that I have teamed with range from Oil Sands, Environmental, Reclamation, Mining, Municipal and City Government construction projects.

My return to the engineering and consulting world started in Saskatoon as a lead CADD designer responsible for design and development of contract documents related to structural, water resource and industrial construction projects. After transferring to the Stantec head office in Edmonton, I was seconded to the newly acquired Phoenix Arizona office. The issuance of a US work permit resulted in a transfer to the US office for a 3-year work term in the Irrigation and Water Resources group. With a planned return to Canada, I was approached by a Stantec Airport Group to to supplement the group with lead design, supervision and development of contract documents related to airport construction projects in Arizona and California prior to my departure for home.
