- Full time Intern during my final semester of college- Assist Probation officers with current individuals on probation by completing background checks through out the assigned probation period.- Individuals that did commit/was pending new charges while on probation, I completed the correct reports & sent the files back to the Judge for probation violation. - Conducted a Pre-sentencing investigation report for the Judges to provide all the facts about a case before sentencing. Also provided a recommendation to the Judge based on the findings. - Interviewed and entered new individuals placed on probation into the system. Assigned a Probation Office, scheduled meetings with their Probation office and ensured all information into the system was accurate. - Responsible for Inactive caseload, after a Probation Officer left the department. - Assigned a caseload of active Probation files, in which I meet with individuals to ensure court ordered requirements were becoming completed by deadlines and no new charges were brought forth by the individual during probation period. - Attended classes in which first time drug offenders were court ordered to attend and DUI classes. - Completed meeting with individuals that were assigned to community service or house arrest, reviewed all court ordered requirements and assigned follow up meetings to ensure completion. - Assisted with any department special projects or needs.
