At HemoCue, I was one of a few minority owners and management representatives involved in two ownership transitions, one in December 1999 and one in February 2007. I "finally" left in my 14th year of employment as acting managing director and having fulfilled my undertaking to coordinate the integration with HemoCue's new parent company, Quest Diagnostics.

HemoCue, Inc. was the sales and marketing organization responsible for the North American region. I managed 33 direct employees and USD 24 million in sales. Management responsibilities also included a distribution network of three direct territories and nine independent firms working in a franchise like business format with the equivalent of around one hundred fully dedicated sales representatives.

Responsible for building an organization and process for international operations, from scratch. Setting up a European sales office in the Netherlands and local manufacturing in France, in cooperation with an Italian pharmaceutical concern.
