A first generation American - a son of Armenian and Italian immigrants - I grew up on the Jersey Shore A first generation American - a son of Armenian and Italian immigrants - I grew up on the Jersey Shore before attending MIT. I graduated as an EE, but my passions took me elsewhere and I joined Bridgewater Associates for a career in finance. Originally, I worked as an Investment Associate, helping to build our fundamental and systematic investment models. Over time, I gravitated back to my roots, grappling with our intense demands for data, analytics, visualization, and automation. I created the original technology stack at Bridgewater - its entire suite of applications, platforms, and infrastructure. Additionally, I built our first technology organization, becoming our first CTO. After nearly 30 years at Bridgewater, I gradually transitioned out of the company to focus on other interests. An avid reader and consumer of all forms of entertainment, I co-founded a media production company aimed at turning a spotlight on stories that need telling. I avidly engage in angel investing (particularly in the aerospace) while enjoying my time with my family and learning about the world.
