As VP of Home Lifestyle Brands, I develop, launch, expand, and manage operations for six distinct retail brands for the Vietnam market, currently Central Retail’s highest-growth region after launching in 2014. In this role, I report to the CEO and serve as a member of the board of management / executive committee while leading a team of 450 people. For each new brand, my team and I lead the full life cycle for start-up activities including retail concept design, market analysis, branding, merchandising, operations implementation, hiring leadership and pre-launch teams, rollout, and P&L ownership.These brands include:LookKool – Family convenience and lifestyle accessory chain store with a diverse range of product categories presented in beautifully designed, modern stores.► Started from zero to launch 39 locations to date and are now the market leader for this retail segment. ► Achieved 37% sales growth YTD and high profitability with double-digit EBIT. Komonoya/Watts – A Japanese retailer with 10 franchise locations in Vietnam today.► Reorganized the location mix and rightsized operations by closing five stores and opening another three. Homemart – Large-format non-food supermarket with 10 categories including pets, gardening, home goods, home décor, and sporting goods at low prices. ► Launched this first-to-market concept in 2018 and opened six locations to date with more planned for 2020. ► Achieved 200% growth YOY with up to 12% EBIT. Kubo – An edutainment indoor playground offering children a high-quality, safe, clean place to learn and play. ► After starting with one concept location, we’ve opened seven stores to date with more planned for 2020.
