An “action intellectual”, I am comfortable conducting in-depth research, advising a government on economic growth, solving a client’s crisis, guiding excos and boards on long-term strategic risk, or engaging in public debates on central socioeconomic and sociopolitical questions.In over 25 years, I have conducted hundreds of projects; the vast majority in states affected by fragility and failure. Born in Africa, raised in the Indian Ocean, I have chosen to live in these environments, acquiring expertise in the trenches and, in the process, gaining empathetic knowledge through the lived practice of my mission.I began my career working on the integration of frontier countries in the global economy through special economic zones – where I am a widely cited. In 2000 I launched a parallel career in the turnaround and restructuring of distressed businesses, and fraud investigations, security and crisis management with a strong focus on mining. In 2009, I integrated these two careers in a unified offering through Eunomix.I am committed to the fundamental equality of all, the necessity for global justice, and the imperative of global governance. A denizen of Global South and North, I am a native to the French Creoles of the Indian Ocean, highly fluent in English, and conversant in Spanish. I hold post-graduate degrees from France and the USA. I am extensively published, interviewed and quoted in the media: from BBC to WSJ. I am a regular policy and industry conference speaker.
