Having worked in the equine industry for many years while raising a family an caring for elderly parents, I developed a passion for supporting individuals both young and old, to embrace the challenges of life and to develop the skills required to enjoy living and loving life to the full.   I have over twenty years of professional Counselling experience to a diverse range of clients from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.  My work includes the provision of School Counselling services, where I meet teenagers on a weekly basis and support them to develop their life skills while coping with adversity, I regularly deliver talks and facilitate sessions on the areas affecting young people including anxiety, social stressors, self-harm, bereavement and parental supervision.I provide counselling services in a busy Family Resource Centre where I meet children, couples and families to support them through counselling and psychotherapy to improve family functioning, develop relationships and heal past traumas. My approach is always, strength-based, family centred and culturally competent.In my role as Supervisor, I provide professional support to Play Therapists, Counselling and Psychotherapy Students, Healthcare Professionals and Family Support Practitioners.
