My career in information technology began in Montreal, Quebec in 1996.A few years later, I completed on my own, several Microsoft certifications on several languages until obtaining the certification: Microsoft Certified Solution Developer.I arrived in France in 1998 where I worked as a consultant for several clients, including Thomson Multimedia, Société Générale and the last one, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) where I joined a team building a client/server data warehouse with technologies such as XML, C#, ASP.Net and SOAP Web Services.Few years after, I landed a permanent post where I was able to refine my team management skills on several occasions, take responsibility for several tasks, to resolve conflicts of opinion or personality with diplomacy and fairness. I increased my ability to argue convincingly to properly convey the messages of my team to other teams of engineers, to better understand the needs and motivations of my interlocutors to adjust communication effectively.I had the chance to work in several multicultural teams with people from several countries and often at a distance, spread over several continents, teams working on projects from different areas where I gain experience in understanding the design and code of previous features to quickly come up to speed and drive the conception of new features. I drove the initiative to migrate our deployments processes to improve the team’s software engineering practices and adopt CI/CD pipelines hosted on premises and on Azure Cloud.In this context, I had the opportunity to demonstrate my ability to remain open and interested in new points of view and to seek out best practices inside and outside the Organization to anticipate change, to help junior engineers to grasp the importance of using best coding practices, write self-documented test-driven code.More recently, I have spent time studying Cloud technologies, I started by implementing the continuous integration processes for our software and I am currently pursuing self-taught Microsoft certifications on the fundamental aspects of Microsoft Azure as well as the design and implementation of DevOps solutions.
