I am a rising Junior at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst studying Food Science and Technology. Driven by a passion for food, I'm excited to apply my knowledge of general and organic chemistry, biology, and physics to develop and maintain quality food products.Through my coursework, I've gained experience in a pilot plant creating food products. My first year, I worked on developing a sustainable lobster bait as part of an interdisciplinary practicum. I am currently involved in a Food Safety and Quality Assurance role, gaining industry experience with a particular focus on developing SOPs.

It's the largest independent foodservice distributor in the West.As a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Intern, I create and edit supporting documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with QA duties such as monitoring CCPs or performing laboratory work.
