Develop integrated and efficient delivery of infrastructure planning practises and projects (three waters and transport) to provide a sound city foundation for the City’s on-going growth. Build effective infrastructure planning relationships with activities and local, sub-regional, regional and national groups. Work collaboratively with funding partners to maximise third party funding for growth-related infrastructure projects.

Providing leadership and day to day management of the Wai Ora Strategy team, as well as providing technical leadership and advice relating to the wider healthy waterways programme for Council. This includes:- Providing leadership and a Centre of Excellence for Healthy Waterways Programme, National Policy and Statement for Freshwater Management (NPSFM) and stormwater management practices for the Healthy Waters Department, Auckland Council and wider industry.- Providing the technical information that will inform the Healthy Waterways Programme, NPSFM and Healthy Waters strategic direction by working collaboratively together with Council departments and CCOs.- Keep current with national and regional legislation, policy and strategy relevant to Auckland Council and Healthy Waters Department functions, particularly the NPSFM. Interpret how this directs the Healthy Waters Department for the Strategic Direction.- Leading three yearly review and amendment of the technical documentation and data interpretation that will inform the Healthy Waters Department strategic direction and Asset Management Plans.- Leading the data analysis that will inform the regional priority framework to identify priority issues and locations for contaminant load reduction, stream protection and enhancement, flooding, growth and infrastructure.- Leading Healthy Waters Department Technical input into Auckland Council strategies, policies and stormwater bylaw development and updates and lead input into other regional significant projects that require strategic or RMA input, particularly implementation of the NPSFM.
