I have had the pleasure to work in a trans disciplinary team to provide early intervention services as part of the Birth to Three services and continued to develop my skills working with families with children with Autism from pre school to high school. I continue to develop and maintain data driven programming and work on supervision and training of staff. I have the wonderful benefit of learning to train family members and broaden my experience from the clinical to the applied in the true nature of applied behavior analysis as I teach parents how to generalize the skills from assessment to daily life. This is a wonderful and fulfilling challenge that keeps me energized and dedicated to the research and training my field has to offer.

This experience consolidated all my educational and professional experiences while introducing me to the reality of the individuals I have dedicated myself to supporting and serving. The science of my Neuroscience degree, my background with the medical profession brought me the clarity of purpose needed to serve individuals with a combination of mental health and developmental disabilities. Working with the direct care staff taught me how to deliver my message to others and the value of compromise. This experience laid the foundation for how to work with parents and schools. I learned to find the balance of ethical commitment and flexibility of team work. A difficult lesson to learn but a life long valuable experience. I had the opportunity for intense training with masters in their fields and took every opportunity to expand my skills.

This experience was my introduction to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. I began my experience as entry level asleep overnight staff, gained my Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis as I worked my way up to a program coordinator. To this day, I think of myself as classically trained. I had the immeasurable privilege to hone my skills as a Behavior Analyst working under world renowned researchers and professionals.
