My interest lies in the preservation of time-based media art. The ongoing and fast technological change and the processual character of many contemporary artworks open a fascinating field of work. In my research about preservation strategies for software-based art I am trying to marry theoretical concepts and practical conservation work. Furthermore, collaboration, knowledge exchange and networking turned out to be important not only in museums, but also in research. I intend to foster and continue collaboration and exchange not only to improve work or research outcome, but also because it is motivating. Beside the treatment of single objects, I am also interested in building/organising the underlying infrastructures, workflows and policies necessary to carry out conservation. While I am writing my PhD, project-based freelance work is a viable option for me.
