A traineeship in 2002 in Cape Town (RSA) changed my initial course of plan and got me interested in HR. What we consider for granted in terms of employment or industrial relations in many parts of Europe, is not the case in other parts of the world. This was the turning point for me and I became an HR enthusiast from then on. I studied first the business perspective of human resources and continued to learn about labour issues in a Master programme covering organisational aspects, EU labour law, employment relations as well as health and safety at work in Bremen (DE) and Amsterdam (NL). Recently I added further studies in organisational psychology, got updated in German labour law and I am about to finish a certificate in digital HR.I was fortunate to complete a post-graduate training in the Working Conditions Unit of the Eurofound in Dublin/Ireland. For most of my professional life I was working at EASA in Cologne/Germany in the recruitment team. I gained valuable experience in hiring aviation professionals and administrative staff alike. In 2014 I moved to Finland following my spouse. I dedicated this time for my family and the aforementioned training. But I also volunteered in the spouses association ECHASA and I am currently an HR Officer in the wonderful recruitment team of eu-LISA in Tallinn, Estonia.My strengths certainly are in recruitment, integrating new ideas and tools into an organisation and I enjoy working with people. I am dedicated to bring mutually beneficial relationships to the organisation and its staff. I am not afraid to work with figures and I have been part of big and small IT-projects in HR (ERP, eRecruitment, post database etc.). Having lived, worked and breathed in an international environment for the past 10+ years I absolutely enjoy being part of a multicultural team. I’m a result driven and service-oriented HR specialist with excellent communication skills.
