My graduate studies revolve around cognitive development, with a particular interest in how young children intuitively understand economic principles like cost-benefit analysis, efficiency, and resource allocation. My thesis examines developmental differences in children’s and adults’ decision-making about sunk costs. So far, I’ve led 10+ multi-experiment studies, and collected data from over 1,500 children (700 via video teleconferencing software) and 4000+ adults (via crowdsourcing platforms).In addition to my doctoral studies, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Computational Data Analytics to sharpen my data analysis and programming skills in R and Python. This program also equipped me to generate actionable insights and apply diverse theoretical frameworks to analyze complex societal issues related to data use in corporate and government settings.I mastered a broad spectrum of other courses, including Human Computer Interaction, Policy Analysis, Statistics, Data Analyses, Information Visualization, Research Methodology, Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Science, Language Development, and Social Development.

I coach undergraduate co-operative education students by guiding them through the creation of impactful capstone presentations that highlight the skills cultivated during their research co-op terms. I assess their level of autonomy demonstrated in their research experiences using the Research Skill Development (RSD) framework, playing a key role in the evaluation process for the Co-Operative Education Research Certificate.
