While the typical responsibilities include fulfillment of prescriptions from the time they are sent or entered into our system until they are sold to our customers, answering patient and prescriber questions via phone and in-person, and maintenance of the space, we also worked to collectively end the COVID-19 pandemic through our COVID Testing and Vaccination processes. My team facilitated and processed about 20 Drive-Thru COVID-19 PCR Tests per day, as well as between 15-25 COVID-19 Vaccinations per day (among other vaccines). Between these two new features of our pharmacy, I continued to provide excellent information in-person and via phone, taught our patients how to administer their own COVID-19 tests, registered patients for tests and vaccines, and maintained proper documentation and records of our services. At the end of my time at Walgreens, I was also training to become the Inventory Specialist for my location, managing about $300,000 worth of prescription drug inventory via ordering, daily/annual counts, monthly expiration checks, and communicating with patients regarding back ordered/discontinued medications. I also directed a total reorganization of all drug locations in the pharmacy to improve workflow, accommodate the introduction of the new COVID-19 antivirals, and decrease the number of incorrectly "out of stocked" medications at my location.
