The Core Committee serves as board of directors to oversee the activities, affairs, and property of the POD Network.

As a volunteer Conference Co-Chair, I worked with a team to organize the annual POD Network conference for over 900 attendees annually. Events included a location based conference in Pittsburgh, PA (2019) and two fully online conferences (2020, 2021).

The CTE brings together pedagogy and technology to support Georgia Southern faculty and teaching assistants in their roles as educators across instructional modalities and contexts. I led our campus team of instructional designers and faculty developers to provide Georgia Southern instructors with research-based professional development and consultation on pedagogy, inclusive teaching, curriculum design, assessment, and online/blended education. My special interests include blended teaching and learning, assessment, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).In my faculty role I taught First Year Experience courses with a focus on Colonial Americas. I implemented "Reacting to the Past" pedagogy to engage students, increase relevance, and support community building.

Housed within the CT2, the CTL supports faculty and graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) in realizing their potential as educators and scholars committed to teaching excellence. As the assistant director I carried out a successful campaign to revitalize our center and establish it as a valuable campus resource. I led a team of two instructional consultants and one graduate student assistant and directed strategic planning and assessment for center programming. I coordinated university-wide Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) initiatives including the annual SoTL Commons conference hosted in Savannah and facilitated faculty learning communities, book studies, course design institutes, and workshops on a variety of teaching topics

As a doctoral intern, I assisted with all faculty development activities with a special emphasis on programming and support for Graduate Teaching Associates, coordinated the Starting TA Resource (STAR) Group, and led our team of Graduate Assistants in facilitating monthly STAR events. An additional area of focus was "Internationalizing the Curriculum;" with a colleague I developed programming and resources to support this strategic institutional goal.
