Each person receiving services in the HCS, TxHmL, and GR CFC in Tarrant County will have a single identified staff, called Service Coordinator (SC). The SC will assist the person in identifying and articulating his/her priority outcomes, personal goals, and hopes for the future as well as his/her requests and need for services and supports. The SC will elicit the person's feedback, coordinate, monitor the services for desires outcomes as identified in the Person Directed Plan (PDP). A goal of Disability Services is to provide the people we serve with seamless consumer driven services and supports. The SC must also be knowledgeable about the array of services and supports available in the community.

In 2018, I was specifically in charge of encouraging our student body to serve our community. I worked hand in hand with nursing homes and hospitals in order for students to be able to make visits to the elderly and the sick. I also became close to the director of the Education Department from the Texas Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists. We organized activities for high school freshmen from all over Texas and built relationships with them. Which then allowed for us to be familiar faces when they visited our campus. In 2019, I became the director of Afterglow, which is a program that allows our students to fellowship every Friday night and participate in singing, testimonies, snacks and crafts. I partnered with other departments of our university and delegated among our staff to create a stress free environment. Creating a budget for my department allowed me to see what I could do for the year and helped me to save for big events.

I took care of disciplining and rewarding the lifeguards. Keeping everything documented for the safety of any individual and the camp was something I incorporated this summer. Among other things like organizing fun activities for the kids and training the lifeguards physically and spiritually.
