After I finished the engineering course, I started my professional career as a trainee at EMBRAER, an aeronautical industry from Brazil. Through that opportunity, and for about 4 years, I knew how a big technological company manages its business in a competitive and global market. But, in spite of the exciting job that I was responsible for, I was unhappy because I wanted to become an entrepreneur in the education field. This desire started when I was a student and it became possible in the beginning of the 90’s when I founded my first school focused in IT. During the last 30 years, through hard work, a lot of dedication and much transpiration, this small business expanded and, in sequence, became a net of qualification schools, a net of technical schools , a net of technical colleges, engineering schools and colleges located in the south of Brazil and focused in high level education for the work market and more recently in an University Center named Uniftec . Nowadays the group hires about 600 employees and holds 12,000 students engaged in several courses. I’m mainly responsible for the strategic of the group, and I’m in charge of the presidency. Last decade I integrated my educational business with an entrepreneurship hub, called Collider. The goal of this iniciative is to help ours students to get improvement as technological entrepreneurs.Referring to my personal education, I have a degree in Aeronautical Mechanics Engineering by ITA - Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica, a MBA in Strategic Management by USP - Universidade de São Paulo, a Certificate in Management and Leadership by MIT - Sloan and a Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship by Stanford University. I attended several programs of professional improvement, mainly in management and education areas, as the following ones: Innovation in Higher Education (by Harvard/Laspau - USA), Science and Technologyy Management (by ITA -Brazil) and Higher Education in Korea, organized by Korean Council for University Education, among others.What refers to family, I am married to a psychologist and we have two daughters.
