Currently reporting to the Global Product Director, I've grown steadily into positions with increased scope and responsibility, culminating in my present role as leader of field tests for mobile devices globally.Key achievements in this role are:✔Successfully delivered +50 projects for launch NPI, maintenance release MRs, and OS upgrades for different Moto families (E, G, Edge, and RAZR), in all continents for the last 3 years.✔Achieved $1.3M savings with test strategy optimization and strategic RFP for price reduction, in collaboration with procurement team.✔Qualified new service supplier vendors to execute US carrier performance tests, helping drive down costs and increase operations flexibility.✔Reduced +100 devices from prototype inventory worldwide by implementing a tight custody control, external scrapping, implementing new policy to returning samples, and performing regular remote audits.✔Digitalized test reporting and status by using BigQuery, Looker, and Power BI, resulting in faster status turnaround times and reduced staff efforts.✔Achieved 86% of valid change requests during Maintenance Release and OS updates by closely monitoring requirements change, suppliers quality execution and history of previous results.✔Supported the rapidly rollout of 5G in India markets by testing +10 products in 2 months by managing test resources, working closely with account on priorities and requirements, and R&D team to resolve issues.

I moved to Google after the acquisition of Motorola in 2011, holding the position of Field Test Manager for Latin America, and later Canada and Europe, and reporting to Global Field Test Manager.Key achievements in this role are:✔Supported the launch of Google´s iconic mobile devices, Moto-X and Moto-G, by supporting field and lab tests for +14 carriers, including several New and Unique Device (NUD) features such as AoV, Target Notification, MNAT, SNAP, Moto Assist.✔Successfully completed 44 projects in LatAm, with expanded scope of tests to Chile (3 carriers) and Peru (2 carriers), with 4 different suppliers (Motorola, Arima, FIH, CellOn).✔Following the dismissal of the LatAm team in August 2013, I maintained critical product launches by re-engineering processes, optimizing test plans by 40% and implementing tools to allow remote teams in India and China perform tests locally, reducing costs by US$ 163k and improved TC/hr from 3 to 5.

I transitioned from Motorola Networks to Motorola Mobile Devices with the initial mission to implement quality metrics systems. However, my role rapidly expanded to improve the overall process with the manufacturing team, drive a centralized database for tests, and later, manage field test activities in Brazil and Latin America.Key achievements in this role are:✔Mapped and maintained the functional and performance test suites in Test Central, trained the engineering team in the new test strategy, and implemented test cases priority in order to optimize executions.✔Implement a deep dive review of Escaped Defects to Carriers with FT, PE, TAM and CSC, that resulted in + 27 improving action plans from 12 submissions done between 2005 to 2007.✔Put in place a new process to track all customization status via CR involving several teams (TAMs / FT / PE / CxD / Product Marketing / Technical Marketing).✔Simplified and optimized PRI (Product Information) report process steps by 30%, positively impacting manufacturing team Pre-Validation and Box Opening metrics at Distribution Center.

My role involved coordinating the efforts of supporting teams (engineering, pricing, suppliers) to deliver technical and commercial proposals to the account team. I was also responsible for presenting at customer meetings, both to technical and non-technical audiences.Key achievements in this role are:✔Coordinated functional teams to meet the annual business gross margin target, delivering +100 proposals and presentations during this period.✔Created procedures and taught the engineering team how to include material and service list part number in the sales and cost (SAC) system, in order to expedite the process and reduce the dependency of others. ✔I managed the Residential Gateway product pilot, working from contacting GMO to conducting a friendly trial with a Brazilian carrier (Vivo), where almost 40 units were tested, which resulted in positive Customer feedback, later opening up business opportunities for EvDO units in 2005. ✔Lead the design and implementation of 2G NAMPS cellular network systems in CETERP (Brazil), initially implementing 5 base stations in the metropolitan area of Ribeirão Preto, SP, the biggest contract of the company in 1996.

Responsible to survey potential sites to install RF towers based on available infrastructure, perform drive tests and generating coverage reports, use Netplan tool to assess potential tower locations based on RF propagation models.✔Identified and evaluated locations with complex terrains in Espírito Santo, Brazil, to visually confirm coverage, microwave sight seeing, easy to access, and available energy.✔Drive tests in major cities of Minas Gerais, Brazil, to verify and deliver 2G coverage maps, confirming that all sites achieved Telemig acceptance criteria.
