As a Master's student in Production and Systems Engineering, I worked in the development of a method based on horizontal partitioning for mining frequent patterns in transport timetables. Using Python (via Jupyter Notebook) and R Scripts (via R Studio), I worked in the construction of Brazilian Flight Dataset (BFD) using the data sources from regular flights (VRA) and weather data. The VRA was loaded from ANAC (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil) and contains all Brazilian flights. The weather data was loaded from ASOS (Automated Surface Observing Systems). ASOS is managed by IOWA University (USA). It contains weather data collected by sensors installed at airports around the world. The overall scope of Data Quality (Exploratory Data Analysis, Cleansing, Tranformation and Load) was applied.
