I was one of the 3 engineers who built the initial Voice & Video calling product at WhatsApp. I joined the effort in Jan 2015 and we launched the feature a few months later. My role was to build, scale and operate the infrastructure for the entire service on the Facebook Edge Network.* built a low latency and fault tolerant L5 UDP relay in C++ running on.

Traffic Infrastructure is responsible for connecting users to the FB's datacenters. My role was to improve the performance and scalability of our global Edge Network (CDN). Highlights: * implemented a high performance and reliable HPACK HTTP header compression in Proxygen in C++, which became part of HTTP/2.0 and still largely running in production even.

I started my Bootcamp at Facebook in Dublin, where I worked on various mobile projects:* added caching to symbolication of native iOS crashes * prototyped a native version of the Pages Manager app for iOS (ObjC)

During this summer I built a fine-grained real-time monitoring system from scratch, which was running on a production cluster and became open-source at the end of my internship.* storage of the timeseries using a scalable distributed storage system based on OpenTSDB and HBase* UI was built with GWT and MVP pattern (Java, CSS)* host collector and aggregator.

I was part of the Infrastructure team where I built systems for collecting, aggregating and reporting errors from the FB's web tier, to overall improve the reliability of the service. I worked in PHP, C++ and Python.In one of the Hackathons, I built an Emacs plugin with heuristics for jumping to function definitions by leveraging an internal code indexing.
