I am a senior research analyst with over ten years of educational and hands-on experience in innovation, environment, and technology. I have a background in international relations with a particular emphasis on environmental policies and sustainable development. My professional record includes experiences with academia, the private sector, policy advocacy & NGOs. In my current role as a senior research analyst at Trust-IT Services, a company closely aligned with the European Commission, I honed my skills in grant writing, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. My current responsibilities include securing funding for EU-funded projects, project management, gap analysis and content creation. This experience has boosted my understanding of the intricacies of European funding and the skills necessary to navigate the complex R&I landscape across several advanced tech domains. In addition, working in the context of a dynamic SME has allowed me to perfect my skills in policy support, project management and grant writing.Prior to working at the culprit of EU-funded research, I spent 5 years in academia, where I taught, researched and published widely on sustainability, climate change adaptation and forestry with a particular focus on Europe and Latin America. My research received funding from several public institutes (Leibniz Institut, LMU Munich) and private foundations (Andrea von Braun Stiftung). In this context, I also completed a doctorate in environment and society at the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society (LMU Munich), where I had the chance to relate to a thriving community of scholars, policymakers and NGO employees from several parts of the world. My dynamic professional path intersects with my life trajectory. Having lived and worked in various parts of the world, including Italy, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Brazil, I have developed the ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments and build strong international networks. My proficiency in four languages (Italian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese) and reading literacy in two more languages (French and German) further facilitates effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders from different backgrounds.
