That they can be the mom THEY want to be. Not who I want them to be, or their partner, or their boss.What sounds simple, involves a variety of skills and services, because every woman and every situation is different.Some mothers just want a set of (mental) exercises that they can do to manage stressful situations. I have a set of those in my backpack that I freely share with moms. I also provide an easy-to-work-with communication plan so that mothers can better understand and talk about their stress levels and mental load.Some moms need to make sense of what they are feeling. “Objectively, everything is fine” is a sentence I have heard countless times. I am here to provide clarity, as to why they might not feel fine. What exactly it is in their situation, in their support network, that makes being the mom they want to be, difficult.In that whole process, I take on different roles: advisor, coach, friend, cheerleader, but always with the same goal: to show my client that “I have been where you are, and you CAN get to where I am now”.I became a mom in 2016. Being an expat in the Netherlands I have experienced first hand what it means to work with a healthcare and support system that is different from what you know. Having had a post-partum depression myself, I have worked on tools that help me manage stress and experience joy together with psychologists and other healthcare professionals. Show less
