• Develop, maintain and manage a team of individuals spread over EMEA, allocate work, execute various people management-related responsibilities including performance management, coaching, development, and staffing

• Lead litigation efforts, or work closely with outside counsel to prepare for litigation

Managing the whole portfolio of WW IP and commercial litigation at Lenovo.Managing the inhouse litigation team as well as a whole network of external counsel.Litigation responsibilities include management of caseload with outside counsel, including budget allocation, spend and financial reconciliation, information preparation for the Board of Directors.

• Actively support the business where and when needed in all legal areas, focusing on contracts. Key elements include:
• provide legal assistance, coordination and supervision for legal matters in EMEA
• create/coordinate/lead the C&N EMEA team to ensure appropriate resources are allocated as required and report the activities of that team to the global contracts function
• set the targets for the C&N EMEA team
• review, negotiate and draft various contracts
• coordinate and supervise outside legal counsel

Authorized local representative for Lenovo in Belgium (all-round role, not limited to legal).

• Responsible for the full coordination of the bid activities (focus on IT outsourcing bids) of Atos Origin Belgium. Key elements were:
• analyse customer needs and design solution to answer these
• lead the bid team
• bring together the legal, technical, financial and commercial elements in a well structured commercial bid
• manage the whole bid process from opportunity identification to signature of the contract
• provide guidance on the management of signed contracts

• Responsible for the negotiation of major IT outsourcing deals in EMEA. Key elements were:
• draft contracts taking into account legal as well as commercial requirements;
• lead the contract negotiations with customers;
• participate in the whole project cycle (from opportunity identification to completion);
• protect the company through accurate contract wording;
• develop new (standard) contracts;
