Helped implement and manage a highly available and robust private cloud for the State of Vermont to facilitate moving State Agencies & Departments from disparate computing environments into a sustainable, well managed model. The private cloud was an IaaS offering utilized by most of the State and supported a multi-tenant environment with about 1,100 VMs. Was also involved in shifting workloads into public SaaS/PaaS/IaaS environments wherever it made sense financially and operationally. Responsible for defining and implementing security standards. Other areas of responsibility involved managing vendors and working with customers to better understand costs associated with new and ongoing IT projects and to help them achieve their business goals in the most efficient and sustainable manner.

Lead person supporting the Department of Taxes' UNIX & Linux systems and Oracle & DB2 databases. It was mainly an AIX and Oracle environment and most of the work involved managing IBM's PowerVM environment and Oracle’s RAC databases.
