Also, operation of electric, hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and jackhammers. Use of pallet jacks, high pressure washers and and blasters, and also operate overhead hoists (50 and 15 ton), punch press/shearers, acetylene torch and wirefeed/stick welders. Extensive experience with Honeywell, PLC and Modicon controls for operating plant equipment, as well as testing plant water, circulating water, lime slurry for density, turbidity and purity, all while operating clarifiers, anthracite filters and acid/caustic mixed bed filters., inlcuding all associated pumps, valves and controls Also test flue gas, coal fines and flyash for performance tests, as well as operate lime and aluminum sulphate feeders. Respirator fitted and SCBA certified. Very familiar with lockout/tagout and quite used to working in confined spaces and at heights. Was responible for voltages up to 4160 volts, and the safe removal and replacement of electrical service, as well troubleshoot and even repair up to 480 volt systems, as well as some field devices, in order to save unnecessary callouts. Responsibilities included maintaining and efficiently operating yard and plant equipment in a safe manner. Including dumping of the coal train, running coal conveyors and feeders, operating heavy equipment, pulling bottom and fly ashes, running and swapping pumps and motors, operating the scrubber and water treatment. Also trouble shooting and servicing equipment, and imputing data into computer and keeping accurate and current logs of all daily tasks performed, as well as taking timely and hourly plant equipment readings and watching for any discrepencies that may indicate equipment problems or failures.
