 Primary Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) Systems Engineer. Responsible for the engineering, operation, maintenance, installation, and future development of the program’s DRSN network and integration of the Survivable Emergency Conferencing Network (SECN) and Presidential and National Voice Conferencing (PNVC) for over 10 users utilizing over 350 devices.  Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of secure and non-secure contingency communications equipment/systems at multiple sites, to include UHF and HF transceivers, KY-99M end crypto units, SKL key loading devices, Iridium Satellite telephone devices, desktops/laptops, printers/scanners, STE devices, secure and non-secure fax, PTIK mobile kits, DEOS mobile kits, VSAT, and multi-level secure and non-secure video teleconferencing equipment, in accordance with secure communications requirements delineated in Presidential Policy Directive PPD-40 and OSTP/OMB Directive D-16-1. Assists in the day-to-day operation of the Department of Defense Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) protected satellite communications network to include operation, maintenance, installation, and future development. Primary Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) manager responsible for providing the capability for the automated generation, accounting, distribution, destruction, and management of electronic keys, as well as management of physical key and non-key COMSEC related items to include KG-175D/F, KY-99M, KIV-7M, KG-250X and other COMSEC devices. Part of a team of communicators responsible for required, reportable inter-agency multi-level, multi-systems communications testing to ensure contingency/emergency operations readiness in an all-hazards environment.

 Served as SATCOM SME in both a peace-time and deployed environment for a unit with regional interoperability and cooperation activities in 31 countries and 13 protectorates.  Managed the Joint Network Operations Center that monitored the health and welfare of 6 communications platforms supporting over 1000 end-user customers across 31 countries and 13 protectorates. Tracked and managed all Authorized Service Interruptions/Outages. Submitted, reviewed, and approved Satellite Access Requests for 6 Warfighter Information Network-Tactical signal assemblages for both real-world deployment and major command exercises.  Primary trainer and tester of satellite/space operations and Communications Security (COMSEC) to over 50 personnel.

Fort Hood, Tx

  Served as SATCOM SME providing follow-on tactical support to communications packages in both a peacetime and deployed environment.  Managed the Network Operations Center that monitored the health and welfare of 30 communications platforms supporting over 5000 end-user customers. Tracked and managed all Authorized Service Interruptions/Outages Submitted, reviewed, and approved Satellite Access Requests for more than 25 Warfighter Information Network-Tactical signal assemblages.  Supervised 10 personnel in the planning, installation, operation, and maintenance of Information Mission Area signal support functions within an integrated Department of Defense telecommunications network.  Primary trainer and evaluator of satellite/space operations and Communications Security (COMSEC) to over 200 personnel.

 Supervised the training, mission execution, and professional development of 12 personnel in the installation, operation, and depot-level repair of a $15 million radio network consisting of very high frequency fixed and mobile communications that included radio transmitters, receivers, paging system, and remote communications on the White House compound. Commanded the Mobile Communications Platform that supported the President of the United States, Vice President, and First Lady Presidential communications networks throughout the Washington DC, metropolitan area and Camp David.  Deployed as lead Vice Presidential Communications Officer, leading a total of 96 personnel in the coordination, installation, and operation of advance communication office suites, video telecommunications conferences, Communications Security (COMSEC) accountability, and motorcade radio set-ups world-wide in support of the Vice President, White House staff, and U.S. Secret Service.

 Supervised the training, mission execution, and professional development 13 assigned personnel in a high visibility environment. Managed work center job assignments and supervised the installation of a multi-million dollar White House Communications Agency network infrastructure.  Engineered, installed, and maintained a $10 million White House secure digital telecommunications network.  Implemented and supervised the team tasked with immediate restoration of complex voice, data, and video circuits that provide sensitive command and control to the President of the United States, Vice President, White House staff and the U.S. Secret Service

Camp Roberts, Ca

 Supervised the training, mission execution, and professional development of 15 personnel who operated and maintained a $40 million satellite control facility. Monitored and commanded up to three Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) satellites valued in excess of $480 million.  Coordinated and controlled satellite communications missions for the Department of Defense, White House Communications Agency, and Diplomatic Telecommunications Service operating in the Pacific Region.  Led the training program of a geographically isolated control facility, developing training long, short, and near training plans.  Maintained the training files of 56 personnel while making available all equipment and resources needed for scheduled training. Coordinated all military and civilian schooling.
