A native of Denver Colorado & alumni of Chapman University, Clay Busch has been a entertainment veteran for 20 years and a specialist in marketing, branding, partnerships and live events. Clay's SiX18 Agency has or is currently advising brands and artists including Shelter Music Group, In De Goot Entertainment, The Kirby Organization, Danny Wimmer Presents, Tom Sandoval, 5B artist & media, Slipknot No 9 Whiskey, GWAR, Beartooth and other brands in entertainment, spirits and alternative product space. Prior to SiX18, Clay was the first hire for Danny Wimmer Presents (the countries largest independent live events promoter) in 2011–and was a key part in the company’s rapid growth into the nations largest independent promoter and the global leader in all things rock culture as department head and Vice President for the marketing, media and brand partnerships departments until his departure in 2018. Clay was also the first hire for Shelter Music Group back in 2019 until his official departure at the end of 2023.Other prior experience includes marketing, consulting, creative, event management and A&R. Clay got his start as an intern for AEG Live at the Kodak Theatre (NOW Dolby Theatre), moving on to work with the Staples Center (NOW Crypto.com Arena) and the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club. From there, he transitioned to music marketing and publicity at Columbia Records where he interned before transitioning in the finance and sales departments at Interscope, Geffen, A&M Records.Clay was a key part the West Coast Lifestyle Marketing department at Interscope, Geffen, A&M Records, helping with the early development for artists like Lady Gaga, LMFAO, The Pussycat Dolls, The All-American Rejects, and Tokio Hotel. Later, Clay was a Product Manager at Universal Music Group’s Interscope/Geffen/A&M Records for artists including Rob Zombie, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Marilyn Manson, White Lies to name a few. Clay has been an successful independent marketing consultant for many years, with clients such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Maloof Family Ventures (including the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, Sacramento Kings, Monster Energy Outbreak Tour and the Maloof Money Cup), Monster Energy, Zippo Lighters, Heavy Grass Cannabis Company, Interscope Records and more. Clay is a proud supporter and fundraiser for the T.J Martel Foundation and the T.J. Martel Wine Dinner in Los Angeles annually. Clay is also credited with discovering one of music fastest rising artists and Grammy nominated artist, Nothing More and manager for the world leading spirits authority and critic Fred Minnick .
