My main focus was UNIX Systems Administration. (HP-UX) This included physical installation (Power, Network, and Fiber) software maintenance (Installation, Patching) and day-to-day operations. I provisioned my own Storage (HP Arrays: XP256, VA74xx, EVA5xxx, Nike) and performed my own backups. (ADIC Scalar + Veritas NetBackup)Secondary duties were Oracle Administration. This included designing backup strategies (RMAN + NetBackup) creating/optimizing ad hoc queries, and some DDL design.Tertiary duties were providing helpdesk support for a 460-seat call center for the workstations (Win2K) and the telephones (G3-R Switch).All of this was in support of WWC's Disaster Recovery Plan, as the data center I worked in was the secondary site.

Operated various machines used in the manufacture of harsh-environment electrical cables. (Lead Extruder, Braiding, and Armoring.)
