-Collaborates with international film archives and museums to source, loan, and ship rare film prints -Coordinates travelling exhibitions with major international exhibitors-Obtains screening rights and permissions and negotiates fees with distributors and filmmakers-Monitors select film exhibition budgets-Manages work related to electronically titled films by engaging and scheduling rehearsals for the title launchers, who are foreign language experts, and booking time with projectionists-Examines films to identify any problems or discrepancies with regard to print condition, running time, format, subtitling, or other crucial characteristics-Manages guest logistics, including travel, accommodation, and honoraria payments for MoMA Film guests-Plans social events including exhibition opening receptions and dinners-Sources film stills and screener copies of films-Plans and produces relevant live events to complement film exhibition programming-Assists Producer, Film and Video in communication and coordination with external vendors including site visits and tech checks for select theater rentals-Responsible for furniture setups on stage such as the piano, podium, or table and chairs for a panel discussion; present for the pre-screening setup and post-screening breakdown of the theater-Coordinates monthly programming meetings, long-term programming calendar and 3 theater calendars-Provides guidance on departmental and institutional procedures and processes as well as curatorial and administrative support to film department curators-Recommends and implements solutions to streamline department processes in order to improve efficiency and workflow -Develops promotional materials working with the Communications Department, including the monthly membership and film programs, exhibition brochures, website content, and electronic promotional materials for many film programs-Proofreads galleys and all materials for paper and electronic publication
