About Clay Pottorff

I have over seven years of experience in the autonomy and robotics industries, particularly as relates to system design, prototyping and integration. I have contributed to the development of RTOS-based firmware for safety-critical applications, drive-by-wire and related control systems, various electromechanical systems and wiring harnesses, as well as top-down design of new robotics platforms/subsystems.     Acted as lead engineer for the design and integration of various systems within the context of driverless technology/autonomy. Most significantly, this included the development of drive-by-wire and related control systems implemented on safety-rated ECUs following MISRA-C and other safety standards. In addition, I contributed to the design of full electromechanical systems including component integration, design and assembly of wiring harnesses and even light PCB development when needed.Lastly, I contributed to novel algorithm development, particularly as related to manual path modification for obstacle avoidance. Camera calibration via OpenCV and other proprietary methods was also a focus of my work for a time.
