Based out of New Brunswick, New Jersey, Mid-Jersey Knights Field Hockey Club is open to young athletes who want to grow in their field hockey abilities from top-level coaches, and top-level facilities in both indoor and outdoor field hockey. The mission at Mid-Jersey Knights is to help players grow in the sport of field hockey through developing fundamentals, creativity, tactics, sportsmanship, and having fun by loving the sport that teaches us many important skills, not only in sport, but also life.I am Safe Sport certified, along with being certified to coach field hockey through USA Field Hockey and the NFHS Learning Center. As a member of the coaching staff, I help facilitate drills, and answer questions any athlete may have during the training sessions. I lead smaller teams into solving tactical problems as they arise through game play, along with refereeing scrimmages at Play Days with other teams.• Coach young athletes in understanding the game of field hockey, and enhancing skills.• Lead large group of athletes through warm-up, drills, and analyzing what works, and to think critically within each age group’s team. • Organize how to set up drills, and how to communicate the goal for each drill or game, so each age group can focus on the goal at hand, and accomplish it together.

The Rutgers University Athletics Compliance Office serves to maintain a competitive and ethical athletic program by monitoring and educating its entire Scarlet Knight community (student-athletes, coaches, staff, administration, alumni, and boosters). The Athletic Compliance Office serves as a resource by monitoring and educating its constituents per National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Big Ten Conference, and University rules regarding intercollegiate athletics. The Office takes a proactive approach to education, but when noncompliance has occurred, the case is reported to the NCAA and takes corrective action. I had the opportunity to obtain training in statutory interpretation of NCAA legislation to determine the ethical activity for Rutgers Coaches when they asked questions upon permissible behavior they could conduct. As the Athletic Compliance Office's Intern, I created forms for student-athletes to maintain eligibility in the NCAA and Big Ten, along with rules education presentations for coaches for the upcoming academic year. I also transferred and organized student-athletes' information into the Compliance Office's database, while also tracking and recording coaches' compliance meetings and tests for the previous and upcoming academic year.• Analyzed and interpreted NCAA legislation in regulatory affairs for Rutgers Athletic Coaches• Created compliance forms following the NCAA and Big Ten eligibility requirements in the JumpForward Database and made these forms accessible for completion by student-athletes electronically• Created a running template for monthly compliance meetings to be conducted with coaches about legislation that will be actively in play during that period• Organize student-athletes' records in the compliance database • Input incoming student-athletes information and create their profile records in the database
