My duties included ensuring that all potential future projects at Chevron-Burnaby are effectively documented, prioritised and evaluated for funding allocation by Chevron Global Downstream/Manufacturing.• Project Manager responsible for effectively implementing major capital projects. I was the PM for the $8MM 2010 FCC Turnaround, the ~$25MM 2010-2020 Safety Instrumented System (SIS) program and more. My FCC project creatively reduced scope/ capital from >$15MM to $8MM, it reduced risk and it made technical discoveries that led to an immediate and significant reduction in unit downtime and environmental exceedance. My duties were completed without HES incident, under budget and on schedule.

At its Oudeh and Tishrine oil fields in NE Syria. My responsibilities ranged from preliminary design through to installation/ commissioning of new surface facilities. Careful technical review of doable alternatives resulted in meeting the client’s needs safely and at minimal cost.• Project Manager/ Project Engineer for many multi-discipline gas plant projects for Duke Energy Gas Transmission, DEGT (now Spectra).• Construction Coordinator/ Project Engineer for client VRB Power Corp during a series of process upgrades and repairs at its 250 kW-8Hr power storage facility near Moab, Utah. Innovative ideas and collaborations resulted in more effective use of capital expenditures and available resources, completed on time and under budget, including a couple of unplanned technological improvements to reduce maintenance and improve reliability.• Process Lead for an Overall Hazards Assessment Study completed for Newalta Corporation at its North Vancouver refurbished oil facility. My final report included many safety recommendations, ideas to reduce maintenance and improve recordkeeping and lower vapour emissions.• Misc. HAZOP leadership, business development and process duties.
