I am originally from Northern California, when I was 9 years old my family decided to move to Georgia where we have been ever since.I went to Blessed Trinity Catholic High School where I played a few sports including Soccer and Tennis. During my senior year I lost my older brother, Ryan to Suicide. This event in my life has had a huge impact on me, which continues to this day. I then went onto college to finish my education at The University of Tennessee Knoxville but after having such an event happen. For me, I could not find focus and motivation in school. Instead during I was interested in teaching myself skills. The list and interest can go on and on of everything I was teaching myself about. Just to name a few; trading stocks and all that comes with it (doing research in companies,reading charts/patterns, market sentiment, if board-members were buying or selling their own companies stock and at what price). I was also learning and interested and learning the e-commerce side of things such as drop shipping… I’m sure you get the point, I am motivated to learn and work hard. I am a Freight Broker and Customer Service representative at Transfix. Each day is filled with taking inbound calls, cold calling to posted or potential trucks in the area, explaining the details and requirements for the load, negotiating rates, and booking them. Days are fast pace, always moving, and never dull. I see out the load from booking the truck to making sure it’s tracking, and negotiating layovers/accessorial when any issues arise. I am very interested and love the Transportation industry. There are so many facets and opportunities within the field weather it be the typical dry freight, or a niche market such transporting cars. The opportunities within the industry are endless.
