Supervises six network specialists. Provides network engineering support and solves problems while supporting the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) test and operational sites. Injects technical designs and assists engineering staff as required with EACN-related network design and engineering tasks. For example, designed the IP route distribution plans used at Joint Base Andrews and Joint Base Lewis-McChord to link EACN to SwiftBroadBand and Nortstar network service providers. Directs and performs management activities associated with EACN configuration management and performance improvement. The team accomplishments over the past year include composing and delivering over 120 network device installation guides. The team produced a dozen network design whitepapers, describing major network engineering solutions. Monitors and coordinates activities of project and testing team. Oversaw the IA technician responsible for testing of over 259 network software patches. Estimates resource requirements for successful project development and implementation. Assists client managerial staff in prioritizing and scheduling EACN and testing activities. Authored and delivered all monthly status reports.
