Recently relocated with my family to the best island in Australia, Tasmania.My background is somewhat mixed. I spent a year in China learning Chinese, have pencilled for bookmakers at racetracks in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, worked in banking for ANZ, but found my passion in the water industry with SKM. I was really lucky at Jacobs to be able to develop my skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and have contributed meaningfully to some of the flagship infrastructure projects in Melbourne. These include the modelling for the Melbourne Metro Rail Project and the West Gate Tunnel Project. Two projects that will shape the future of transport in Melbourne for decades to come.In 2018, Alicia and I made the move down to Hobart not knowing a soul. The focus was to pursue the design for the upgrade of the Bryn Estyn WTP, which we won. Over the last few years I became much more locally focused and driven to put all my effort into Tasmania and tasty has mostly been on roads projects. I've been lucky to deliver some great upgrades all the way through to completion of construction.That led me to wanting to work somewhere truly local and who promise something different to the bigger firms. So after 13 or so years at SKM/Jacobs I agreed to make the move to AD Design. It's a completely different way of consulting with completely different objectives and I love that. Outside of work I'm kept busy with my young son Oliver, and daughter Daisy, enthusiasm for sports commentary, and my veggie garden and yard.
