My career has been involved with many facets of agribusiness, risk management, and trading, and this experience combined with my accounting and management background provides me with a unique combination of skills and strengths.

Was promoted to Division Manager six months after being hired for another position. Responsible for managing all aspects of the AgriVisor entity including definition of product lines, hiring, budgeting, adherence to regulatory and accounting standards, and other areas of strategic planning, as well as developing sales and marketing strategies. In addition, developed trading and risk management strategies and managed successful discretionary grain trading programs.

Was promoted and relocated to headquarters after less than one year in different position. Responsible for developing, communicating, and monitoring adherence to risk management and commodity marketing strategies designed for agricultural commodity producers. In addition, responsibilities included administering and teaching these concepts and strategies to a sales force that in turn communicated same to the ultimate clients. I was selected for this position as the result of a national search, due to my previous work experience and performance as a Cargill employee.

As the owner of a small business operating in the consulting and retail side of the commodities industry, I wore numerous hats. In addition to prospecting, securing, and servicing consulting clients, I was responsible for the many additional tasks any small business owner faces. The primary emphasis was to advise agribusiness clients with respect to risk management, product marketing, input cost management, hedging, and trading. This included the writing of newsletters (weekly and monthly) summarizing recent grain marketing news and risk management strategies.
