Throughout my career experiences in industry I have built my skill set through education, hands on experience with different processes systems, and different career opportunities in the industry. I have completed my Certificate in Adult Education through St FX University to strengthen and build my training abilities. I have mentored, coached, trained, and supervised a variety of team members. During my time at K +S Potash I held the position of Training Specialist in the Dry Process area. I was responsible for training of new operators, developing and creating training material, ensuring area documentation was current and up to date, as well as scheduling required training to maintain or achieve certification. Part of my role was to schedule required off site and in-house training with minimal overtime costs and maximized time management. In 11 years in the Potash industry, I was able to broaden my skills to operate handling of bulk solids equipment such as conveyors, elevators, crushers, screens, and compactors. I was part of the 1st green field potash mine to be constructed in Saskatchewan in over 40 years. I participated in the construction, commissioning, and start up phases, as well as production.Prior to my time in the Potash Industry, I spent 12 years in the Natural Gas Industry. This time afforded me the opportunity to work with and learn about reciprocating compressors, water separation equipment, dehydration units, gas wells, down hole equipment and components, transmission flow lines, and disposal wells.
