Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics, distribute workload, determine shop priorities for 3 years. Counsel subordinates on expectations, goals, job performance, along with ways to fix any issues and areas that need improvement. Train newcomers on shop operations, work flow, emergency procedures, and available resources. Provide mentorship of 7 personnel ensuring knowledge and competency of job skills resulting in increased moral, self confidence and job performance in personnel. Ensure all shop operations are conducted in a safe and proper manner by maintaining visual presence and attention to detail on shop floor. Delegate responsibility down to subordinates on maintaining specific areas, and preventive maintenance on shop equipment. Utilize different manuals and computer systems to troubleshoot vehicle deficiencies, search for and install parts. Trained and certified on recovery and recycle equipment. Signed and responsible for over $1,520,000.00 worth of equipment and tools resulting in zero loss or damage.
