Additionally, they specialize in business certification and offer assistance with the certification process (i.e., CBE, DBE, MBE, SBE, WOSB, 8(a), and more…).As the Compliance Project Manager for a National Affordable Housing General Contractor and a large Regional Medical Services Provider, I was responsible for the research and documentation of jurisdictional employment and contracting compliance regulations and the identification of certified business enterprises or regional workforce organizations to satisfy any specific jurisdictional requirements. I was also responsible for researching and confirming the CBE Spending rate for a Regional Medical Service Provider as well as confirming their CBE status and our client’s success in obtaining their CBE participation obligation. I drafted and submitted (3) three DSLBD quarterly reports and (6) six monthly status updates. I reviewed and verified the CBE status of 60+ vendors/subcontractors and I confirmed their spending rate by reviewing and confirming their VVFs.I created two (2) Florida-based Virtual Hiring Events/Employment Plans to include; outreach documents, web page (drafts), Identifying outreach partners, and event flyers.

The Business Services Group of the D.C. Department of Employment Services is responsible for managing relationships with corporate and business entities. Our primary focus is to identify, evaluate, channel and successfully align meaningful employment opportunities with all DOES internal/external stake holders and their clients. In full partnerships with our American Jobs Centers, Office of Project Empowerment, Office of Veterans Affairs, Office of Youth Programming, Office of Apprenticeship Information and Training and Office of First Source, I personally develop and implement strategies that successfully align DOES participants with appropriate and consequential employment opportunities. I have successfully identified business opportunities and developed significant hiring opportunities with new clients such as GEICO, COMCAST, DCI, AlliedBarton, KRA, Universal Healthcare Management Services, Diebold, Busboys & Poets, and the U.S. Census Bureau. I have been designated the team lead and “go to” workforce development specialist for all Apprenticeship and First Source Construction Compliance opportunities. I consistently lead my team in numbers of placements made and projects managed; moreover, I am a consummate team player and approachable source for support and guidance.Within DOES, I have well-formed and committed relationships with all of our internal partners so as to appropriately understand and identify relevant and impactful referral opportunities. Of equal importance is my ability to manage and distribute information that identifies the program status of every candidate referred and when available, to take corrective action that captures the proper performance information for WIOA and Wagner Peyser.
