During my time with the Walser Automotive Group I changed the direction of the company both from an IT infrastructure and a leadership standpoint. The department expanded three-fold and the systems and processes I designed have made a lasting impact on the future of the company. I created the first help desk and designed its processes using ITIL methodology. I became the first Service Desk manager and continued service improvement, while acting as a Senior Systems Engineer. I was directly responsible for the Data Centre and later shared the responsibility with a second engineer. I provided mentoring and training to 9 staff members and 5 interns and provided leadership to the operations and infrastructure side of the IT department. Reporting to the Director of Technology my decisions were in his stead as he progressed to into a Senior Management role.I standardized the multi-site network and developed a management framework that significantly reduced the strain on the network as well as the support staff.
