About Clayton Castle

I am a former journalist turned PR/Communications pro, currently working as the Communications Manager for the City of Middletown, Ohio. I’m tasked with telling Middletown’s story by way of content creation, community connections, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders. I also serve as a spokesperson for the city, responding to media requests. Before Middletown, I worked to promote and spread the good news of my alma mater, Northern Kentucky University. As the public relations specialist, I served as a spokesperson for the university, responding to media requests, writing press releases, issuing statements, and coordinating media interviews for on-campus experts and officials. As a journalist, I've covered events such as the Super Bowl, the 2019 Memorial Day tornado outbreak, the Oregon District mass shooting, the shooting death of a detective, two presidential elections, and the COVID-19 pandemic.I'm a proud alum of NKU, having graduated in 2015 with my bachelor's degree in Journalism. I am currently pursuing my master's degree at NKU, studying in the nationally ranked Master of Public Administration (MPA) program.Outside of work, I enjoy attending stand-up comedy shows, performing in community theater productions, cheering on all Cincinnati sports teams, trying new local breweries, and watching documentaries.
