Christopher Buckner has been writing professionally since 2005, with a distinguished career primarily in the video game industry. He has collaborated with several reputable independent game developers, contributing as a lead writer, game designer, and creative director on acclaimed titles such as Conquest of Heroes, Ruthless Earth, Tyrannus, Dark Storm, and Dark Storm VR Missions. Most notably, he serves as the lead writer for the critically acclaimed Cepheus Protocol franchise.Expanding his creative endeavors, Christopher has authored two novels set in the Cepheus Protocol universe, with a third installment currently in development. These books are published by Halcyon Winds, the developer of the Cepheus Protocol series. In addition, he is the creator of the Velvet cyberpunk series and has penned several Roman historical fiction novels, published by Lume Books.With a lifelong passion for history—particularly ancient Rome—Christopher draws inspiration from science fiction, fantasy, comic books, movies, anime, and historical documentaries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Creative Writing and a Master’s in Video Game Design. Christopher lives in Folsom, California, with his wife of 11 years and their daughter.
