I am a lifelong artist and Entrepreneur. I started my creative studio Epic Made in 2006 and has been the core focus of my career. Epic Made is based out of Hampton Roads (Norfolk), Virginia. Over the past 15+ years, our team has created award-winning animation, illustration, and design for hundreds of beloved brands including SyFY, Nickelodeon, USA Network, WWE, TNT, and others.Volunteering:I am on the national board of the Graphic Artists Guild and am currently serving as the east coast rep and a member of the advocacy committee where we address how new technologies like AI and Web3 will affect copyright laws and how artists make money.I have been volunteering for the Hampton Roads Chapter of AIGA since 2017 and am the immediate past President.Passion Projects:I have a weekly art live stream at 9 pm Eastern on Youtube (@ColorfulCarlArt). Each week I take an old sketch from my late father and turn it into something new in Photoshop in collaboration with my live audience. I record the process and archive it to youtube. I then mint each piece of work to the blockchain and include that video in the metadata. This entire project spun up out of my deathbed promise to my dad that I would do something amazing with his art one day. This is the first of its kind NFT Art memoir. In my free time, you will find me making videos about art, nature, creativity, and business and how all that comes together in my life.
