I have an urge to explain. A desire to cut through hyperbole. A no-nonsense approach to communication. To help me channel this urge, I set up Plain Advice in 2006 - a company who's existence revolves around clear communication. After moving to Canada in 2015 I'm continuing to make sense of the world at Setana Works, which I co-founded to support start-up and scale-up technology businesses in the B2B space in North America, Europe and the Middle East. This led to helping to guide the early stages of Storewide Active Intelligence (SAI) which a small but courageous team have bootstrapped to a position where we are now active in two of the world's largest retail markets.Previously, I spent almost 10 years working for Symbol Technologies (now Motorola Enterprise Mobility Division) in what can only be described as a variety of roles from the very 'techie' to the very 'marketing-y'. From there, I moved on to WildPackets Inc., a network analysis software vendor, for whom I travelled Europe evangalising their product set.Specialties: Explaining complex technical ideas in a way that your mother can understand. Listening. Learning. Previous lines of work have taught me about WLAN solutions, Network Design and Integration, Troubleshooting and network analysis.
