Since 1999, I have worked as an analyst, change facilitator and trainer for over 20 Commonwealth, state and territory government departments and non-government organisations. I specialise in building understanding of context and identifying opportunities for positive change. I am currently completing doctoral research into the strategic decisions leaders make about disclosing workplace challenges and risks.

Director, Rural Policy And Evaluation UnitDepartment Of Agriculture, Fisheries And Forestry 2000 - 2004Canberra ActAs Director of the DAFF Rural Policy and Evaluation Unit, I led development of an evaluation framework for the department’s Agriculture, Advancing Australia policy package (2000-2001) and coordinated whole-of-agency work on the portfolio’s next-generation policy package (2002-2004). I introduced the 'Policy Logic' approach as a tool for policy and program development, implementation and evaluation. In 2001, I coordinated a national multi-media communication and influencer campaign, which trebled awareness and doubled participation in government programs in rural industries. During 2003-04 I also managed the Rural Financial Counselling Service and coordinated a national consultation to inform review of the program's funding and governance model. Australia Day medal for excellence in public policy in 2000.
