Clefa joined IJM in January 2019 as a Coordinator for the Training and Development Team. She currently serves on the Advocacy and Partnership's team in the same capacity. She has four and a half years experience of working in the anti-trafficking field prior to joining IJM. Her skill set is primarily in liaising with government officials. Clefa has assisted the state of Gujarat in their first case of repatriation of a trafficking survivor who had been in the shelter home for 5 years. She has also involved in rescues and rescued around 35 survivors and rehabilitated more than 80 survivors. She has been a part of the Internal Complaint Committee in Kotak Education Foundation. She is closely working with the Bangladesh High Commission in Mumbai.
