Acting as Research Technician at the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory of the Research and Development Center at Usiminas.Developed activities: • Cleaning and organization of the laboratory. • Operation, preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment. • Creation, review and use of spreadsheets used to control laboratory supplies. • Creation, review and use of spreadsheets used to control the calibration of glassware and equipment. • Creation and review of new records and procedures in the Normative Document Management System. • Use and verification of the conditions of PPE and EPCs necessary to carry out the tasks safely, in accordance with applicable standards. • Preventive labeling, factoring and preparation of solutions and reagents. • Registration and identification of samples and service requests. • Preparation of samples for analysis using manual, automated and semi-automated techniques. • Chemical and physico-chemical analyzes on various raw materials, products and by-products using the resources available in the laboratory. • Interpretation/evaluation of results to ensure consistency, precision and quality of analysis data. • Preparation of chemical analysis reports and methodology development/validation reports. • Disposal of samples, glassware, reagents and solutions in accordance with applicable regulations. • Development and/or validation of chemical analysis and sample preparation methodologies. • Technical support to meet the demands of other laboratories in the company. • Participation, preparation and delivery of trainings. • Participation in internal inspections focused on assessing compliance with quality, safety and environment policies.
