As a Data Center Security Manager (DCSM) one of my responsibilities is to manage and improve site security operations at our data centers. • Responsible for managing physical security operations;• Developing post orders;• Handling site incidents;• Participating in construction projects and to drive day-to-day process improvement activities;• Managing the guard force in our Cluster; • Ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures;• Participate in re-occurring site audits and reviews and testing new security technologies.• Make suggestions on improving electronic surveillance and access controls;• To write and implement security process and procedures.

As a Data Center Security Lead I’m tasked with driving operational security excellence in several separate facilities located within a short driving distance. Related activities, including but not limited to:• Constant vigilance is necessary to discover physical security gaps and shortcomings which will be fixed immediately;• The role involves the need to interface and direct vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols, and planning;• Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at hard data;• Direct efforts to educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions;• To write reports, create presentations and communicate with management on the status of physical security operations;• Supervise employees and contractors performing specific security and safety objectives and monitor security vendor’s performance;• To inspect the facility and observe security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points;• Teach others the proper security processes and methods.

• Bilingual Supervisor, responsible for activities related to the area of Support/Monitoring/Security/Training in great client (Data Center Sector).• Provide a professional, efficient, daily Lenel system security checks. Report any identified problems and request service.• Carry out daily internal and external building hardware inspections to ensure a secure and functioning environment. Identify and record maintenance issues, potential breaches of security or unusual hardware occurrences.• Process all assigned area service request(s) and vender notifications. Maintain accurate record keeping on all requests for services. • Ensure the CCTV system is effectively and sensitively monitored in compliance with the agreed standards.• Ensure that any lost property left at the assigned building is securely stored, recorded and retrieved for the owner where appropriate.• Attend, support and participate in departmental scheduled meetings. • Provided escorts to contractors and visitors during special events or upon request.• Provide investigative data and support documentation as requested by the client.• Responsible for training and leading a team of officers. • Responsible for metrics report.
