CurrentIVC is a sister fund of one of the largest VC in Japan, Headline Asia. Investing in the Web3 industry, IVC focuses on the Web3 entertainment scope with strengths in GameFi ecosystem while also investing in Web3 infrastructure, protocols and applications.Primary responsibilities include doing DD on startups, market trend analysis, identifying/ engaging with potential investment targets and producing investment memos.- Engaged and communicated with over 300+ potential investment targets, with focuses on infrastructure, DeFi and application projects- Led/ Participated in the investments process of 50+ portfolio projects, namely Scroll Tech, XPLA, TON Play, TradingStrategy.ai, Thala Labs and more- Presented analysis on 50+ projects to the IC for the partners to make informed decisions on investments- Conducted financial analysis including revenue forecast, profitability analysis, metrics breakdown- Produced content for internal research meeting, for instance zero knowledge basics and industry landscape, specific ecosystem overview, such as Polkadot, Aptos and Layer Zero- Participated in the preparation of IVS, the biggest Web3 conference in Japan hosted by Headline Asia and IVC, In the 2023 IVS, set up the VC-startups meetup for Web3 companies, and spoke as a panel moderator for one of the panels
